Santander Universities Academic Entrepreneurs: A Program by Babson College

Babson College

Program for academic entrepreneurial leaders who oversee activities related to the development and training of aspiring entrepreneurs.

  • Aimed at: Entrepreneurial projects
  • Located in: Any country
  • Requirements

Participants will be academic entrepreneurial leaders within the university-based ecosystem, i.e. faculty and administrators who have responsibility for a group of courses and/or directing entrepreneurship programs. These leaders at universities in the Santander Universities network oversee activities related to the development and training of aspiring entrepreneurs. Note: The program is only appropriate for faculty who are in leadership positions with responsibility for a group of courses.

  • General information

Educators and administrators must increase their creative and entrepreneurial thinking skills, as well as their understanding of the university-based ecosystem, in order to best serve students in an increasingly uncertain and unknowable world. By participating in the Santander Program for Academic Entrepreneurs, those who impact students/entrepreneurs within the university system will develop a particular skill set (part art, part science) that will help them be better prepared, engaging, creative, and effective entrepreneurial leaders.

The goal of the Santander Program for Academic Entrepreneurs is to create a critical mass of innovative professionals who can effectively educate, skillfully navigate, and thrive in the University-Based Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, thereby maximizing the impact of the programs that are designed to nurture and launch the next generation of entrepreneurs. Participants will leave the program with a greater understanding of both the university entrepreneurship ecosystem and how to learn and teach entrepreneurship.

This 4.5-day program is designed for up to 30 participants who are academic entrepreneurial leaders within the university-based ecosystem, i.e. faculty and administrators who have responsibility for a group of courses and/or directing entrepreneurship programs. These leaders oversee activities related to the development and training of aspiring entrepreneurs.
