    Applicant Criteria


    Cultivate Small Business aims to strengthen entrepreneurs in food-related industries with the building blocks to be successful business owners. Program participants should represent a business that meets the following criteria:


    ■ Business must be in a food-related industry including retail (full- or limited-service restaurants, food trucks), processing, technology, manufacturing, and food services.

    ■ Revenue of $25,000 to $1,000,000 in the most recent full calendar year.

    ■ Minimum of 1 year in operation as of January 1, 2026

    ■ Entrepreneur should be working full time in the business with fewer than 10 total FTEs (including yourself)

    ■ Participants should reside in, or represent a business located in, a low-to-moderate income area (preferred).

    Santander’s award-winning Cultivate Small Business helps early-stage entrepreneurs build and sustain businesses in the food industry, with a focus on historically underserved founders. Cultivate is a completely FREE 12 week MBA-style program that provides a customized curriculum, access to industry experts and capital grants.
